2020 Season of Giving Holiday Collections Drive
Time & Location
About the Event
The Friday, Dec. 4 Christmas Spectacular will kick off the Town of Pike Road's annual Season of Giving Holiday Collections Drive, benefiting the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care Systems & the Food Pantry at Woodland United Methodist Church. We invite you to donate new and unopened items that will help veterans and others in need during the winter months.
The Woodland UMC Food Pantry accepts non-perishable food items and household items, including laundry detergent, freezer bags, and can openers. Some of the items often needed by patients in local Veterans Administration facilities include:
- Personal hygiene items such as toothpaste and toothbrushes, deodorant, hairbrushes, dry skin cream and razors.
- Winter weather items such as hats, regular and no-skid slipper socks, and lap robes. For a complete list of items needed by CAVHCS and the Food Pantry, click here.
Donations can be dropped off during the Dec. 4 Christmas Spectacular, as well as at Town Hall during regular business hours (8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Mon. - Fri.) through noon on Dec. 18. Thank you, Pike Road, for your generosity!
