Adult Art Classes with Glenda Adams

Did you resolve to learn something new in 2020? Local artist & Pike Road Arts Council member Glenda Adams' Art is here to help! Her six-week art course is geared toward adults who are just beginning their artistic journey. Classes will begin on January 22, meeting each Wednesday from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Pike Road Arts Center with the option of continuing with an additional session. Glenda will start with the basics, discussing topics including safety of materials, painting and brush techniques for oils and acrylics, and composition concepts. Throughout the course, participants will create several paintings from both still life and photo references. The 6-week course costs $200 per person, and a minimal supply list – plus tips on where to get the best products at the best price – are available from the artist. The Pike Road Arts Center is located at 944 Wallahatchie Rd, under the water tower. It is home to the Water House Gallery, studio space,  and a variety of events presented by the Pike Road Arts Council, an ENHANCE initiative committee.
