Encaustic Wax Art Class

Explore the ancient art form of encaustic wax, made easy for everyone by artist Martha Colson! Encaustic paint is a beeswax-based paint that is kept molten on a hot plate or heated iron. Beginners and artists of all levels are encouraged to attend the Apr. 28 & 29 workshop, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. daily at the Pike Road Arts Center (944 Wallahatchie Rd).

This two-day course costs $175 per person and includes all materials + an encaustic wax workbook, except for a heat gun or blow torch, which can be purchased at most craft or home improvement stores.
