About the Event
Step into a weekend of creativity and exploration with instructor Connie Collier and the Pike Road Arts Council at the Pike Road Arts Center (944 Wallahatchie Road). This is a TWO-DAY workshop taking place on Friday & Saturday, May 16-17 from 10:00a.m. - 1:00p.m.
The deadline to register is May 9! Registration is required and costs $65 per participant. Participants are responsible for bringing their own supplies, while some materials will be provided by the instructor.
Participants will be introduced to be unique and versatile qualities of cold wax medium while creating semi-abstract landscape inspired artwork. Throughout the workshop, attendees will explore foundational techniques including layering, texture building, color selection, and both additive and subtractive methods. This class is designed for artists with some basic experience in oil painting and offers an encouraging environment to experiment and grow creatively.
