Honoring Our Veterans: One Brick at a Time - Orders Due Sept. 25

Military veterans make up an important part of our diverse population, and we couldn't be prouder to be home to those who have served our country and keep us free. Veterans paved the path to freedom, and you can honor with a personalized brick in the Pike Road Veterans Memorial Walk of Honor.

Bricks are dedicated each November during the Annual Veterans Appreciation Ceremony, and the deadline to order a brick for the November 2020 dedication is 5 p.m. September 25. This year, as we seek to provide new and meaningful ways of showing our appreciation for the military population in the Town of Pike Road and beyond, we invite you to participate in the collection and preservation of veterans’ stories. Our intention is to build a virtual library of memories and stories that can be shared with the community in honor and remembrance. We would love to hear about – or from – the veterans you know and love. Every veteran is someone’s friend, sister, father, and so much more. Veterans Park is a community park located in the historic town center near the intersection of Pike and Meriwether Roads. Among other things, Veterans Park is home to the Pike Road Veterans Memorial and Walk of Honor. We hope you will find that Veterans Park is a special place that welcomes community, reflection, and appreciation for the service and sacrifice of our nation's veterans.
