Join the Pike Road Agriculture & Stewardship Club on March 25 to step up your gardening game with native plants!
Sue Webb, Native Plant Specialist with Petals from the Past Nursery, will lead Native Plants & Landscaping from 9 - 11 a.m. on Friday, March 25 a the Pike Road Agriculture, Recreation & Performing Arts Center (6281 Trotman Rd).
Topics to be covered in this locally-focused workshop include:
- The benefits of planting native plants, such as the creation of wildlife habitats and their suitability for our soils and weather patterns
- The best native trees for carbon capture
- Basics of landscaping, and how native plants can add both beauty and benefit to your garden
