The Pike Road Arts Council Presents:

It Isn't Easy Being Green

Virtual Art Show

Pablo Picasso famously assessed the difficulty of finding the *perfect* green: "They'll sell you thousands of greens. Veronese green and emerald green and cadmium green and any sort of green you like; but that particular green, never.”

Are you up for the challenge? The Pike Road Arts Council is! Their spring show, It Isn't Easy Being Green, is available Mar. 13 - Apr. 18, includes nearly 70 pieces, and features local artists' creative usage of green to add depth and energy to their canvas.

The show is available below, as well as on the Pike Road Arts Council Facebook page. It Isn't Easy Being Green can also be seen in person at the Pike Road Arts Center during Weekend Hours: 9 AM - 4 PM Saturdays | 1 - 4 PM Sundays. To make an appointment to visit outside of weekend hours, email Arts Council Coordinator Patty Payne at patty@pikeroad.us. Face coverings are required, and social distancing and other health precautions are in place.

Choose Your Favorites: Every time you view the paintings, place your vote for the People's Choice Award by "liking" your favorite! Reminder: Many, if not all, of the pieces on display at the Pike Road Arts Center are available for purchase! Don't hesitate to ask how YOU can take home an Alabama original.

The Pike Road Arts Center is located at 944 Wallahatchie Rd, under the water tower. It is home to the Water House Gallery, studio space, and a variety of events presented by the Pike Road Arts Council, an ENHANCE initiative committee.  For more information, please contact Pike Road Arts Council Coordinator Patty Payne by emailing patty@pikeroad.us.
