Montgomery-based artist Susan O'Connor paints joyful genre scenes and still lifes. Using a variety of media including watercolor, acrylic, ink, and oil paint, she renders beguiling moments from everyday life with loose, expressive brushwork. The artist's light-filled, tender compositions reflect her pursuit of simplicity and beauty. Before turning to painting, O'Connor was a Montgomery County public school teacher for 25 years. This is her first year as a Plein air artist.
