About the Event
On Thursday afternoon, September 19, join us to learn all the tips and tricks on how to have a bountiful vegetable harvest this fall! Mallory Kelley, Alabama Extension Regional Agent & Horticulturist, will lead this Ag & Stewardship workshop, guiding us through choosing the right container, the correct soil mix needed, fertilizers for plant success, and what vegetables are to be planted in each season.
Participants will get to choose from a variety of vegetable plants and seeds and assemble them into a 5 gallon container that will help maximize garden space! The cost is $25 per person, which covers all materials needed.
Fall Vegetable Container Gardening will be held from 4 – 6 p.m. at the Pike Road Agriculture, Recreation & Performing Arts Park (6281 Trotman Rd).

Fall Vegetable Container Gardening is the September installation of the 2023 Agriculture & Stewardship Seminar Series. This event is presented in partnership by the Montgomery County branch of The Alabama Cooperative Extension System and the Town of Pike Road's Ag & Stewardship Club, an ENHANCE initiative committee.
