About the Event

Join us on Thursday, Feb. 22, at the Pike Road Agriculture, Recreation, & Performing Arts Park (6281 Trotman Rd) for the "How Shade is Made" Tree Planting & Care Workshop! Participants will learn the best practices to ensure success for healthy long-term growth from seedling to tree with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System and Town of Pike Road's Agriculture & Stewardship ENHANCE Committee.

This registration is being offered in TWO time slots, which are 2 - 3 p.m. and 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. When registering, please select the time slot you will be attending. Registrants may only choose one time slot.

Together, we will gain knowledge on suitable growing conditions, planting planning, seasonal phases, and more for each tree that will be available for the upcoming Seedling Giveaway! This workshop is free, but registration is required. Registrants must select ONE time slot to attend. Time slot options are 2 - 3 p.m. and 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.

This event is presented in partnership by the Alabama Cooperative Extension System and the Town of Pike Road's Ag & Stewardship Club, an ENHANCE initiative committee.
