Watercolor Boot Camp with Durinda Cheek II

Following a fantastic, sold-out workshop in January 2023, Durinda Cheek will return to the Pike Road Arts Center for Watercolor Bootcamp II!

Dive into watercolors with Durinda on Mar. 23 & 24, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily at the Pike Road Arts Center (944 Wallahatchie Rd). This skill-building session is for anyone who would like to learn about painting with watercolors, whether you still need to learn the basics or want to explore more advanced techniques.

- Tuition is $145 per person and includes ALL materials.

- About the Artist: Durinda Cheek is a professional artist who works in watercolor and oil. After obtaining her B A and MEd in Art Education, she taught art in public and private schools as well as teaching adjunct at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and Lee University in Cleveland. She teaches weekly watercolor classes at Townsend Atelier in Chattanooga. She is the Visual Arts Director of the Alabama Institute for Education in the Arts in Montgomery. Her work is in galleries throughout the southeast and she exhibits regularly in national and regional shows.

She is a Signature member of Tennessee, Georgia, and Louisiana Watercolor Societies. Other memberships include the American Impressionist Society, Alabama Plein Air Artists, Booth Artists' Guild, Southern Watercolor Society, and Alabama Watercolor Society.

The Pike Road Arts Center is located at 944 Wallahatchie Rd, under the water tower. It is home to the Water House Gallery, studio space, and a variety of events presented by the Pike Road Arts Council, an ENHANCE initiative committee.
