David Jones studied art at Auburn University and AUM, obtaining a BA in Visual Arts. He has done intensive study in plein air painting for the last six years, studying with many of the best plein air artists in the US. He concentrates mainly on the landscape but also paints the still life. He works mainly in oils, but also uses soft pastels, striving to paint in a realistic, yet expressive, style. He has been influenced by many artists over the years. He and his wife, Cindy, reside in Monroeville, Alabama.
